I haul my violin into the car
You stay in bed, at home, afar
I hum to myself your birthday song
You get up, tired from staring at your ceiling for so long
I weave my way along the streets
You walk downstairs in beats
Out of my breath, any more I cant wait
"Bored, sad?" Youre not sure as of late
At last I make it to your door
You wonder whose engine gave that roar
I ring the bell
You wonder, "Who the hell?"
The scent of coffee from outside I smell
You hesitate to answer, not feeling well
But you did open the damned thing,
And I stopped singing.
You had the same face
My mind race
"Listen," I say to heaven
You nod, not entirely unfrozen
I lift my instrument to my chin
Your gaze rose to my eyes from my shin
My fingers framed the bow as my arms moved, in a trance
You take in my melodys pretty fragrance
I close my eyes, I feel my deed
You come closer, feeling it a need
I continue playing, dancing to my dream
You come even closer, closer than Courtesys rim
Finally, apologetically, I cease.
You feel your soul wanting more, shouting, "Please."
I look at you,
You look at me,
Your silent invitation
Charms my way into your mansion
Melting my inhibitions
Beyond reason.
You follow me inside
Close the damned thing
I smell coffee,
We begin.
